My First Blog Post

INTRODUCTION

Hi everyone! My name is Radhiya Ally. I am an 18-year-old student at the IIE Varsity College in South Africa. My current qualification includes a Bachelor Pass Matric Certificate for now. I am a first-year student studying Bachelor of Computer Sciences. My first-year core modules are Programming, Network Engineering, Database, Digital Law and Ethics and Mathematical Principles. My hobbies include cooking, baking, photography and watching cricket.
Social media plays a huge role in my daily routine. I personally believe that technology and social media have major advantages in improving our standard of living. More than often social media has been harshly judged, misunderstood and heavily misused. The abusers of social media are the ones that create a negative impression of the whole concept.

Technology itself is remarkable. You can take and send pictures, download music and other cool applications, make and receive calls/messages, use the Internet for educational or work purposes, use a calculator, check the calendar, do online banking, shop online, keep track of time, set alarms or reminders, take notes, keep track of your fitness, access latest news or trends and much more. It is only when people abuse social networks for unethical operations and that is where we fail to see that social media is functional depending on how its users use it.
